The South East Queensland UHF Emergency Service Team (SEQUEST)
formed to improve support to the community and improve safety by providing an
efficient, community-focused volunteer emergency service organisation.
SEQUEST's fully trained operators monitor Citizen Band Radio and
summon help for those in need in the cases of Road Accidents & Hazards, Breakdowns,
Medical Emergencies, Lost and Distressed Bushwalkers or Any Other Emergencies
that may cause suffering and distress throughout the
community. Our team has direct contact with Queensland Police
Service, Queensland Fire & Rescue Service , Queensland Ambulance Service,
Coastguard & VMR , State Emergency Service , Local Councils &
Energex , RACQ & Main Roads and many other vital services.
SEQUEST also is also available to assist members of the community with Straying or Injured Animals, Taxi Calls, Telephone
and Radio Message Relay, When no other communications means are available.
We also have direct contact and has been working closely with Bureau of Meteorology
regarding weather warnings and tropical cyclone & tsunami warnings
All calls are fully documented by our monitor's and records are stored and
personally confidential.
