SEQUEST has a Disaster Management Plan in place for impending disasters or major emergency's such as Bushfire's, Tsunami's, Flood's, Cyclone, Severe Storms, Landslides and other disasters which may occur where the use of CB or Marine radio can be used to alert the community of the Disaster or Emergency.
The Following is SEQUEST'S Emergency Broadcasting Information
- Broadcast Severe Weather Warnings, Received directly from the Bureau of Meteorology
- Broadcast Tsunami Warnings, Received directly from the Joint Australian Tsunami Warning Centre
- Providing Emergency Communications and mobile communications to isolated communities following disasters
- Providing emergency communications and communications support to emergency services
- Broadcasting emergency road closures, due to accidents, fires, other emergency's over highway channels
- Assisting emergency services with information and supporting other various community services
- Using social media to inform the community through our Facebook & Twitter pages
